School Sport Premium Funding

The Primary PE and sport premium support schools to provide pupils with an enriching curriculum that inspires more young people to get active, and enjoy the life changing benefits that come from play, sport and physical activity.

The premium is used to develop or add to the PE, physical activity and sport that our school provides, and builds capacity and capability within the school to ensure that improvements made now are sustainable and will benefit pupils joining the school in future years.

The funding allows schools to target their greatest challenges in relation to ensuring that all young people have the opportunity to live healthy and active lives.

Improvements and clear objectives align with the five key indicators which are listed below.

• Engagement of all pupils in regular physical activity
• The profile of PE and sport is raised across the school as a tool for whole-school improvement
• Increased confidence, knowledge and skills of all staff in teaching PE and sport
• Broader experience of a range of sports and physical activities offered to all pupils
• Increased participation in competitive sport
