Geography

We aim to provide a high quality Geography education that should inspire pupils from Pre-Nursery through to Year 2.

The teaching from Pre-Nursery to Year 2 should equip pupils with knowledge about diverse places, people and natural environments.

Geography in the Early Years

Through 'Understanding the World' we learn lots about our immediate environment and how we can look after it! We go on many local walks, observing what we can see. Making observations on the seasons, weather and wildlife. We were a little bit sad that not everyone was looking after our environment and decided to take action to help by doing a litter pick on the cycle path.

Geography in KS1

Year 1

In Year 1 we start by looking at our local area around the school. We go on a local walk and look at maps and aerial photo's of our local area. We create and build some local landmarks and devise our own maps.
